Geez, I realize I've barely posted this year. I've almost forgotten how. I'm going to try to be a little better about at least hitting the high points. To that end, I started to do this 2 weeks ago and promptly forgot about it. But I like the idea of asking the same questions every year to see if I've grown.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
- Planned a wedding
- Sailed the Mediterranean
- Attended a multi-day music festival
- Purchased a musical instrument
- Threw a Mad Men party, and an Oktoberfest
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I set a personal goal in February and I achieved half of it. I will try to finish that out. However, 2010 was the Year of Lowered Expectations, and I'm OK with carrying that into 2011.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not really.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank goodness.
5. What countries did you visit?
Spain, France, Italy. Plus I went to Florida for the first time in a few years.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
- A waist :)
7. What date(s) from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- December 27 - I turned 40
- February 21 - Holmes and Giseli's wedding
- July 31 - Monika's wedding (what I remember of it)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- Planning and executing a spectacularly fun wedding in a mall on 6 weeks notice and not completely losing my shit.
9. What was your biggest failure?
- Regaining all the weight I lost in the spring.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Destroyed my back last winter.
Fell down the stairs in October. Still have some lingering problems from that.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Smartphone!!! (I give an honerable mention to my MBTs - best shoes ever invented)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
- Monkia and Marek
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
- I don't want to dwell on it any more that I already have.
14. Where did most of your money go?
- The Abbey, The Dive Bar, my European vacation.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
- Dude, European vacation with Kat and Jordan!

- Forever in Blue Jeans
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? - Happier, thank the Lord! (Couldn't get much sadder than I was a year ago)
ii. thinner or fatter? - Unfortunately, about the same

Exercised, saw Desdemona, practiced my guitar

Sitting out nursing my sore back.
20. How did you spend Christmas and New Year's Eve?
Christmas - the usual family dinner and church on Christmas Eve followed by presents. My Dad's and my Mom's sisters houses on Christmas Day.
New Years - visited the Bryants, had drinks at the Citizen, toasted with Delerium Noel at the Emporium.
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Probably my mom.
22. Did you fall in love in 2010?
Possibly :)

Community, Top Chef
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is unproductive and destructive at the same time.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was pretty riveting.

Besides learning to finger-pick Jingle Bells on my guitar?

Smartphone, an awesome vacation, the return of my sanity and self-esteem
